Remember we're delighted to welcome Murray Man to Argonaut Sounds Reggae Soundsystem this Friday 18th May. Its gonna be a big session no doubt - we'll be running t'ings at Blackfrairs 11pm-3am, and, as you would expect, its still only £3 entry to see an absolute legend of the UK reggae scene.

We're delighted to announce details of our next sound system night on Friday 18th May at Blackfriars Basement, when our special guest will be legendary Birmingham MC and reggae artist Murray Man. The night will remain £3 entry, and more details can be found on the events page.

We have a series of tasters on this site and on our facebook site over the next month as we build up to what promises to be a fantastic session.

Yesterday we added a new mix to the music page - a mix of new roots and reggae dancehall all from after c.2003... please have a listen, and feel free to download it. We gave out some copies on CD last week at The Dutchy Pot, and we'll have a few more there this week for anyone who prefers that format.

This year we celebrate 10 years of Argonaut Sounds - the radio show became Argonaut Sounds Radio Show in February 2002, and the first mention of Argonaut Sounds Sound System playing out came at a night a Blackfriars on 12th June 2002.

While we're not really the sentimental type, it feels like the sort of thing that worth at least having a party for (which we will later in the year), and having a wee look back at some of the stuff that we've done over the last decade.

As such, if anyone has any photos, flyers or recordings from past events we'd really like copies of them! We're particularly interested in any from nights at the Captains Rest and Ivy, the West End festival in 2005, and any other random things we've appeared at.
